I've enjoyed photographing this little brown-eyed beauty over the years and especially recently during her First Holy Communion portrait session. She has turned into the most adorable and fun loving young lady. Her mom was telling me that she wants to go into fashion design. Look out Project Runway!

• Entries are open to anyone but child's minimum age is 4 years old.

Boochie - The Winner of the Top Dog Model Contest!

A few months ago, we held the first Tog Dog Model Search at Vivienne Photography. The winner of the contest was the most adorable Cavishon, (a cross between the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and the Bichon Frise). He has the most expressive eyes and was a delight to photograph. He won my heart and I surely would have kept him if his family didn't love him so much!

Sweet Newborn Baby Boy!

Finally getting to share this precious newborn baby boy. It has been a really hectic spring and I haven't posted anything for a while.

This little one was only 11 days old when this image was taken. He was tiny enough to fit in my newborn cocoon. We will be photographing him at 3 months for his Storybook Album. I can't wait to see how much he has grown.

Quiet Waters Park Earth Day Celebration and the Second Annual Family, Music and Kite Festival, Saturday, April 24, 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Food and beverages will be available for purchase. The Sierra Club 5K Run begins at 8:30am with registration opening at 7:00am. Admission is free and park entrance fees will be waived. Jocelyn turns 2!

I love watching her grow into a beautiful little girl. I've had the pleasure of photographing this little one since she was an infant. It's funny how children change . . . at her 18 month session, she didn't really want to participate (typical of that age) and we only got a few images from that session. This session was so much fun for her and we got lots of great images to go into her Watch me Grow Storybook Album. Announcing Top Dog Portrait Design

Vivienne Photography is adding a new division called Top Dog Portrait Design. Over the years I’ve photographed client’s dogs here and there but never really pursued going after the “canine” clientele. Now, I feel the timing is right and that this will be a nice addition to the studio.

To launch Top Dog Portrait Design, I am offering to past & present Vivienne Photography clients, a complimentary studio mini dog portrait session. If you don’t have a dog, you may transfer your offer to a friend or family member. Sessions will be approximately 30 minutes and geared toward the dog only, at this time. I am looking for a variety of breeds and sizes. Dogs must be groomed prior to session and must be up-to-date with vaccines along with current flea treatment . Dogs should know basic commands such as sit and lie down.

What a beautiful baby girl! This image is from her 3-month session . . . such a doll baby. I've had the pleasure of photographing her older brother since he was an infant. . . he is such a handsome young man, too! I look forward to her next session at 6-months . . . can't wait for her to showcase some of my new hats and headpieces. I know she will be quite the little model!

Calling all adorable pooches to the first Top Dog Model Call at Vivienne Photography. If you think your Fido has what it takes; good looks, obedient, expressive eyes and personality, then all you need to do is submit a recent picture to ViviennePhotography@gmail.com. Please include name, age and breed of pet. No copyright images please.

Please put “Top Dog Model Call” in the subject line. The top ten will be selected and posted for a public voting to be held on The Blog on Tuesday, February 9th and voting will end Friday, February 12th at midnight .

Entries will be accepted January 29 - February 7. Any image submitted after midnight on February 7 will be disqualified. Winner will receive a studio session of the winning dog and a 12 x 12 classic studio portrait. Certain guidelines apply. Contest is open to the Annapolis, Baltimore & Washington DC areas dogs and must be willing to travel to Annapolis for studio session.

Annapolis Newborn Twins Photographer

What is more precious than a sleeping newborn baby? Two newborn sleeping babies! Well, at least when one of them finally decides to fall asleep. lol I just had to post this image . . . it was probably, in my photography career, the longest time to capture one, single image. One of the twins slept like a log, the other refused until she finally tired herself out. Finally . . . once situated, just as my finger was getting ready to push the shutter, an older sibling, also in the studio, lets out a laugh and wakes the fussy baby. . . it took another 45 minutes to get her calmed down and back asleep. What a sense of accomplishment once I had this moment captured and preserved for years to come.

I've been MIA since Thanksgiving . . . things have quieted down a little bit so I'm trying to get some loose ends taken care of. Updating my blog is one of them! Meet Danny . . . what a cute newborn baby boy. Once he fell asleep, I was able to get some adorable images of him. This is one of my favorites. If I get a chance, I'll post some more of his session.

Another Gorgeous Sunset on the Magothy River

Tonight's sunset was absolutely beautiful. We were out sailing this afternoon and then just sailed around in the Magothy waiting for the sunset. I had a feeling it was going to be a beauty because I was watching the horizon line northwest of the sunset take on an amber color. My instincts were right. . . and the best part was after the sun went down; it continued to intensify with brilliant color for another 15 minutes or so.

I had a wonderful session with this beautiful, blonde-haired 5-year old. She was really sweet and I enjoyed photographing her because was really having fun. I also had the opportunity to photograph her new puppy, Fin. He is a yellow lab and I will be sharing some images of him later on. This is the image her grandmother got as a wall portrait, but in color.
