Tonight's sunset was absolutely beautiful. We were out sailing this afternoon and then just sailed around in the Magothy waiting for the sunset. I had a feeling it was going to be a beauty because I was watching the horizon line northwest of the sunset take on an amber color. My instincts were right. . . and the best part was after the sun went down; it continued to intensify with brilliant color for another 15 minutes or so.

I had a wonderful session with this beautiful, blonde-haired 5-year old. She was really sweet and I enjoyed photographing her because was really having fun. I also had the opportunity to photograph her new puppy, Fin. He is a yellow lab and I will be sharing some images of him later on. This is the image her grandmother got as a wall portrait, but in color.

What a cutie! I love the hat, too. This image is from his 6 month session as part of his Baby's First Year plan. BFY is a wonderful way to capture the stages of your baby's first year of life. We have several different plans to choose from . . . call today to start your child's portrait history, before these precious moments slip away!

Here is a sweet image that happened during his sister's portrait session. As she was changing into another outfit, he walked into the camera room and sat down on the floor for me to take his photo. It was the cutest thing ever . . . he had the most precious expression at that moment. It's funny how it happened because I had photographed his 2-year old session a couple of weeks prior and it was a little bit harder trying to get him to stay in front of the camera. This image just speaks to my heart!

After I finished up with a client early this evening, my husband and I went downtown to the Chart House. We got there just as the sun was setting. I am so glad I took my camera because I would have been so disappointed if I would have not been able to capture the beauty of this evening's sky.

On our way back from the Annapolis Sailboat Show tonight, we were fortunate to be at the bridge just after the sun went down on the Chesapeake Bay. . . . it was such a beautiful sight. The perfect ending to a wonderful day.
